Sleep support for your patients

More than CBT-I. Human-supported digital sleep services, available across England.

Sleepstation’s NHS-commissioned services bring together prevention, specialist assessment and treatment in one digital sleep pathway.

From early support through the Sleepstation Hub, to consultant-led assessment in the Sleepstation Clinic, and evidence-based treatment with Sleepstation CBTi, our services help people get the right support at the right time.

Delivered digitally, with human support and clinical oversight, Sleepstation helps improve access, reduce pressure on NHS services and support better outcomes across a broader range of sleep problems.

  • Hospital to community
  • Analogue to digital
  • Sickness to prevention
  • Human support when needed
  • Robust real-world evidence

Community-based sleep support, available across England

Our services are designed to help people access the right level of support earlier, without relying on traditional hospital-based pathways. Human input is built into our services where it adds value, alongside clinical oversight and digital delivery at scale.

  • Open-access support through the Sleepstation Hub, with sleep information and self-help tools available without waiting
  • Human-supported digital CBT for insomnia, delivering evidence-based treatment remotely and at scale
  • Consultant-led digital clinics providing assessment, diagnosis and management advice for insomnia and other common sleep disorders
  • Rapid access to screening and assessment, with remote delivery reducing the need for hospital attendance
  • Real-world impact, including evidence of reduced hospital referrals (>30% reduction in referrals in UH Birmingham)
  • Strong clinical outcomes, with results comparing favourably with in-person and automated approaches, alongside reduced reliance on sleep medication.

More than CBT-I: specialist sleep care in the community

The Sleepstation Clinic extends beyond insomnia treatment, providing consultant-led care for insomnia and other common sleep disorders. Delivered in partnership with Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, it offers rapid access to specialist assessment, management advice and treatment options in the community.

The clinic provides:

  • Consultant-led assessment and diagnosis for insomnia and other common sleep disorders
  • Multi-disciplinary input and clinical oversight for more complex presentations
  • Personalised management recommendations based on sleep, symptom and health information
  • Access to Sleepstation CBTi where digital CBT-I is clinically appropriate
  • Clear advice for patients and referring clinicians, including recommendations for further investigation or onward referral where needed.

Sleepstation CBTi: strong real-world engagement and outcomes

More than 70% of GP practices in England have referred patients to Sleepstation. Here’s what NHS clinicians say about working with us:

“There’s no hanging around, you don’t have to wait for months. Everyone is incredibly helpful. You can send messages at any point about anything at all to do with the programme. Sleepstation are brilliant.

It encourages patients to self-manage their issues, the regular updates from the Sleepstation team help to keep the service at the front of our minds when seeing patients, and prompt us to promote it regularly.

A gateway to the right sleep support

Through 15 regional sleep Hubs, Sleepstation gives people a clear first point of access for reassurance, education and signposting, helping them understand their sleep problem and what support may be appropriate.

The Hubs combine evidence-based information and self-help with screening, assessment and access to the wider Sleepstation pathway. Where needed, people can be guided towards further support, including specialist assessment through the Sleepstation Clinic or treatment with Sleepstation CBTi.

NHS patients can access:

  • reassurance and practical guidance to help them understand common sleep problems
  • expert-written and recorded resources covering sleep, symptoms and self-management
  • screening and evidence-based tools to help identify what type of support may be most appropriate
  • secure messaging with the Sleepstation team where additional information or guidance is needed
  • clear signposting to the next step, including self-help, CBT-I, specialist assessment or advice to seek support elsewhere where appropriate.

The Hubs are designed to help people get to the right level of support earlier, while avoiding unnecessary escalation into specialist services where reassurance, education or self-management may be sufficient.

Sleep problems create significant pressure on NHS services

Insomnia and other common sleep disorders are highly prevalent and often go untreated or are managed indirectly for long periods. This contributes to repeated healthcare use, medication dependence and wider impacts on mental health, long-term conditions and economic inactivity.

  • High demand on primary care: Sleep problems are a common reason for seeking help and can lead to repeated consultations.
  • Impact on long-term health: Poor sleep is associated with poorer mental health and a range of long-term conditions.
  • Medication reliance: Patients may remain on sleep medication where access to evidence-based treatment is limited.
  • Missed or delayed diagnosis: Some sleep disorders require specialist assessment or further investigation.
  • Wider economic impact: Poor sleep contributes to sickness absence and reduced productivity.

Sleepstation helps NHS services identify sleep problems earlier, provide the right level of support sooner and reduce unnecessary escalation into specialist care.
