Christopher
39, sleeping badly for more than 10 years
Before signing up with Sleepstation, Christopher was exhausted. With his days filled with worry about the night ahead, he’d spent over a decade only able to get between two or three hours of sleep at a time.
Hopeful that Sleepstation could help him resolve his sleep issues, Christopher completed the straightforward sign-up and began a week-long sleep and wellness review.
In order for us to understand his sleep problem in more detail, Christopher was asked to fill in a daily sleep diary, tracking his bedtimes, wake times, how long it took for him to get to sleep and how often he woke during the night.
He also tracked how he was feeling each day and how his sleep affected his ability to carry out everyday tasks.

Before Sleepstation
5h 49m
After Sleepstation

At the end of the week, we reviewed everything Christopher had told us. His diaries revealed he was sleeping for around five hours and 49 minutes a night. His was spending 77% of his time in bed asleep, which is OK but could definitely be improved.
Christopher’s review also highlighted how significantly his wellbeing was being impacted by his poor sleep. He was reporting symptoms of severe depression and anxiety and a severe impairment to his next day function.
Before Sleepstation
- 20/27 Depression symptoms – Severe
- 19/21 Anxiety symptoms – Severe
After Sleepstation
- 0/27 Depression symptoms – None
- 0/21 Anxiety symptoms – None
With all of this information and a clear understanding of what he wanted to achieve, we developed a multi-step sleep plan and Christopher got to work.
Christopher was given a personalised sleep schedule and access to weekly therapy sessions. Alongside these, he was also able to read a large library of resources to further his understanding of his sleep and how to better manage it.
But what really made the difference to Christopher was the support from his sleep coaches. Knowing he was accessing evidence-based and clinically proven sleep therapy with dedicated human support gave him the confidence to stick to his plan and achieve some outstanding results.
At his last check-in, Christopher had gained almost 11 hours of extra sleep a week and his sleep efficiency now sits at an extremely healthy 94%.

We use the Work and Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS) to assess how a person’s sleep problem affects them day to day. These scores are reviewed at assessment and weekly throughout therapy.

We’re thrilled to have helped Christopher on his journey to better sleep. With our support, he’s not only turned his sleep around but made a huge difference to how he feels during the day too.
It’s been a huge relief, knowing that there’s support out there and it really does work over time. It feels like a huge weight has been lifted.
